![]() We are so thankful to have another guest sharing with us for this first Sunday in May. Today we are joined by Joyce Vanderlip as she encourages us to Fear Not! Joyce is currently in her third and final year of Seminary at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. She has, for the past nine months, been serving as the pastoral intern at Fenton UMC and Linden UMC. The one thing she misses most during this time of social distancing is the communion shared when people are in community with one another; sharing a hug, a quick smile, a handshake, and of course, Holy Communion. Even in this, however, she is thankful for the lesson God is providing: as she has found a deeper compassion and understanding for those who have limited access to their loved ones for whatever reason - military service, imprisonment, studying abroad, because they are home bound, or just because they live far away. It has been a time to reflect on how much we take for granted and to be most thankful for what we have. We are so glad to have Joyce sharing with us today and pray you all have a blessed Sunday.
