Devotion - April 26, 2020
I have to say that I am so excited for you to see today's Guest Devotion. It comes from Regan Dawes who is a member of the Youth Group at Lambertville UMC. With very minimal prodding from her Pastor she agreed to lead us in today's devotion. Regan is among those High School Seniors who are having a very different experience this year and she has a positive and encouraging word to share with us about appreciating the small moments. She will be attending Adrian College in the Fall and is interested in pursuing Youth ministry in the future. She includes a reading from 1 Kings 19:11-12 and I pray that you will be as blessed by her words as I was.

Way to go Regan and looking forward to seeing you become a youth minister!!!!! I know God has a special future for you and I enjoyed your message. Right now I am quarantined for the next 12 days, since I was on a plane coming home from Florida. While in Florida, I developed a lot of the symptoms of the corona virus and had to get tested. It was a scary time for me, waiting for the results, but I know God is in control. Prayers were being said for me and thank the Lord, my test was negative!! Now being able to be with my family, even if it is only by phone right now, I appreciate the blessings we had before and we continue to have everyday. What a wonderful day it will be when we can all give our hugs to our loved ones and be together again. This difficult time will be just a reminder that God needs to be first in our lives and nation. Great job and I am proud of you, God Bless You

So happy that you have learned this now. It will make a huge difference in your life. It’s the small things that add up. Continue to listen to Him. You might be surprised where all you’ll find Him. Well done Regan.

Beautiful, inspiring message, Regan! Thank you for this reminder to focus on the little things and find big meaning, joy and hope there. Also I love Oreos so I feel you on that one. ;)
